MobiCom 2003 will take place at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel. Adjacent to the renowned Horton Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Complex, the Westin Horton Plaza is in the heart of downtown San Diego, with easy access to all of San Diego's major tourist and cultural attractions. The hotel is located next to the famous Gaslamp Quarter, Southern California's premier dining, shopping, and entertainment district, and is within easy walking distance of Seaport Village, San Diego's landmark waterfront shopping and dining area.
A block of rooms has been arranged at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel at discounted rates for MobiCom 2003 attendees. The conference rate for either a single or double room is $149.00, and the rate for each additional person in a room is $20.00. These rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes. - On the web, go to the Westin meetings web pages. Enter the city "San Diego", select the state "California", and enter the meeting code "1811". Click on "Continue". Then click on "The Westin Horton Plaza San Diego". Confirmation appears at the end of the reservation process, and the hotel will also send email confirmation.
The hotel is located at 910 Broadway Circle, San Diego, California 92101. Driving directions to the Westin Horton Plaza are provided by the hotel.
Additional Hotel Arrangements
The Westin Horton Plaza Hotel is now fully sold out during the conference. An additional block of rooms has been arranged at the U.S. Grant, a Wyndham Historic Hotel, to handle the overflow. The U.S. Grant is located one block from the Westin Horton Plaza, at 326 Broadway, San Diego, California 92101. Driving directions to the U.S. Grant are provided by the hotel.
The conference rate at the U.S. Grant is the same as at the Westin Horton Plaza: for either a single or double room, the rate is $149.00, and the rate for each additional person in a room is $20.00. These rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes. To get these special hotel rates, please contact Wyndham reservations at 1-800-996-3426, or contact the U.S. Grant directly between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM PST at +1 619 232-3121. You must identify yourself as part of the group "Association for Computing Machinery / MobiCom 2003" when contacting the hotel. The cut-off date for reserving rooms at these special rates at the U.S. Grant is September 9, 2003. After this date, reservations will be taken on a space and rate availability basis only.
Traveling to San Diego
San Diego is easily reached by air through San Diego International Airport (SAN). San Diego is served by many domestic and international airlines, with flights from cities around the world. San Diego is also easily reached from other nearby major airports, including Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Many options for ground transportation from the airport are available, including taxis, shuttle services, or rental cars.
Getting around within San Diego is easy. The hotel is located directly on the San Diego Trolley line. Often called San Diego's "moving landmark," the Trolley is also a fun way to get around.
