MobiCom 2002
September 23-28, 2002,
Applications for Student Travel Support
The 2002 ACM SIGMOBILE International Conference on on Mobile Computing and Networking (MobiCom 2002), will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, from September 23--26, 2002. This conference is the premier technical meeting dedicated to addressing new challenges in mobile computing and networking. Our goal is to assist twenty (20) United States-based graduate students to attend this meeting. We anticipate that we will be able to reimburse up to $750 to each award recipient, to cover travel, lodging and meals. All travel support is made possible by a travel grant from the US National Science Foundation. The conference registration fees for award recipients will be generously covered by SIGMOBILE. Participation in conferences such as MobiCom is an extremely important part of the graduate school experience, providing the opportunity to interact with more senior researchers and be exposed to leading edge work in the field. Our goal is to enable the participation of students who would otherwise be unable to attend MobiCom 2002. Applications An application for a travel award will consist of the student's vita, a letter from the student, and a letter from the student's advisor.
