Conference Venue

The opening day of the Conference, July 18th, will be held at Palazzo Colonna, one of the most beautiful Baroque Historical Palaces in Rome. The next two days of the ACM SIGMOBILE Seventh Annual Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking Technical Program will be held at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi center on July 19th and 20th. The Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi is located in downtown Rome, within walking distance from the Via Veneto, theater of Federico Fellini's renowned movie "La dolce vita." It is also close to the enchanting Villa Borghese Park, one of the largest botanical parks in Rome. Restaurants, shopping areas, and other major downtown Rome attractions are within walking distance.

Tutorials and Workshops will be located at the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi conference center. 

Accomodations

The official lodging site for the ACM SIGMOBILE Seventh Annual Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking is the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi, that is a deluxe five-star hotel. Arrangements have been made to reserve a block of rooms on a discount rate July 15^th - July 20^th, 2001. Arrangements have also been made with the following hotels on special discounted rates.

Please note that in Italy, the hotel class is denoted by the number of stars on an one to five ascending scale. Five Star hotels belong to the deluxe category; Four star hotels are exclusive, and comfortable; Three star hotels are provide comfortable accomondations; Two star hotels provide economical lodging.

Travel

Transportation

By Train

There is a regular train service between the airport and the main railway station "Roma Termini" (around 7.5 Euros one way). From Rome Termini you can either take a taxi to the conference site or the 910 bus. Get off after 8 stops at the Via Giovanni Paisiello bus stop.  The hotel is within 2 minutes walking distance (350 m), at Via Gerolamo Frescobaldi 5. For details refer to the map.
